Create Ubuntu USB Install Disk From Mac OS
Creating an Ubuntu USB install disk on Mac OS is easy. One popular option is to use Balena Etcher.
- WARNING - This operation can be very dangerous if you don’t know what you are doing or if you aren’t paying attention. Be careful and don’t overwrite the wrong disk.
Steps:
- Download Ubuntu ( “.iso” file )
- Downlaod and install Etcher
- Insert a USB thumb drive
- Open Etcher
- Select the Ubuntu ISO you downloaded
- Select the target disk ( make sure it is the USB disk you want to write to )
- Write the disk
- Once it completes you should be able to use this disk to install Ubuntu
