VMware ESXi Enable SSH
Hi everybody!! Today we’r going to show you how to enable ssh for VMware ESXi. This is really easy and can be done in multiple different ways.
VMware ESXi Enable SSH - Steps ( console ):
- Goto the console
- Press F2
- Login with username/password
- Goto “Troubleshooting Options”
- Select “Enable SSH” and press enter
- press ESC to go back
Steps ( VSphere Web Client ):
- Select the host
- Select “Actions”
- Select “Services”
- Select “Enable Secure Shell (SSH)”
OR
- Login to VSphere
- Select “Manage” on the left navigator pane
- Select the “Services” tab
- Select the TSM-SSH entry
- Click the green “Start” button near the top
- Click “Actions”
- Select “Policy”
- Select “Start and stop with host”
Steps ( vCenter):
- Login to vCenter
- Select the “Configure” tab
- Goto the “System” section and select “Security Profile”
- Click the “Edit” button on the far right side
- Select “SSH”
- Select “Start”
