Python is probably one of the more useful and practical languages that you can learn. There are other great choices, depending on your needs and what you are trying to do but if you want the easy answer, Python is probably the right choice for many use cases.

If you are hoping to find a job as a developer and aren’t sure which language to learn first, Python is a pretty good bet. There are other languages that might be better depending on exactly what you want to do but if you aren’t sure and just want an easy answer then you might just want to start with Python. Once you’ve learned one language you can always learn another and the second language you learn will be easier.
Python is a versatile language that can be used for many different things and it is also one of the hottest languages out there. It is currently (2023) very popular and will probably continue to be popular years after I write this. If you are reading this years down the road this is probably still true.
