Types of 3D Printers and Processes

If you are home user chances are that you will either be using an FDM or Resin Printer ( SLA / MSLA / DLP ). FDM printers are the most common and are what you would typically think of first when you think of 3D printing.

FDM printers - less detailed, less messy, use a solid filament
Resin printers - highly detailed but use messy, toxic resin
