I primarily bought this external docking station so that I would have an easy and convienient way to quickly clone hard drives and SSDs.

I’m also going to use it to do the following:

• Read and write spare drives that I have laying around
• Clone drives
• Backup drives
• Data recovery
• Not have to open a PC case to be able to connect a drive
• Run all sorts of tests

This device provides the following features:

• Supports 2 SATA disks
• Supports hard drives and SSDs
• supports both 2.5” and 3.5” disks
• Connects to PC using USB 3.0
• Works with Linux, Windows, and MacOS
• Powered using an AC power adapter ( doesn’t rely on host system )
• Great for cloning and backing up disks
• Generally just works without needing drivers
• Offline clonging ( I haven’t tested this feature )

Overall this is a really helpful device to have around and I feel like I made the right choice in buying it.
