General Tools AMY6 Magnetic Tester

This tool is a magnet tester. It’s entire purpose is to detect manets and tell you if the pole is North or South. It works great as you can see in the video below. Depending on your preferences you may or may not have an issue with some of the details of the product ( see the list of features below. I personally found this tool to be great and would definitly buy it again. I would also recommend it to anyone who either wants a fun toy or a practical tool for identifying the pole of a magnet. Personally, I’ve only used this as a toy so far but I’m sure I’m going to be putting it to practical use as I have all sorts of projects planned.

Features:

• Detects north and south poles of magnet.
• Quick and easy.
• Red LED for North, green LED for south.
• Unnecessary beeping sound when it detects a magnet.
• Pocket sized.

Here are some things that people complain about. Some of them are valid issues. Some of them are just tiny issues. I generally think of all of them as non-issues.

• No instructions.
• Bad packaging ( hard to unpack ).
• Battery door under pocket clip.
• Needs a screwdriver to remove pocket clip.
• It makes too much noise.
• Only detects really strong magnets ( FALSE in my testing ).
