Regarding feature set, VRM quality, build quality, and, unfortunately, pricing, the ROG Strix B550-E Gaming Motherboard hits all of the boxes, so much so that it overlaps with the X570 category.

The lack of USB ports is particularly noticeable on a premium ROG motherboard. The ROG Strix B550-E, on the other hand, makes up for it by having most of its USB-A ports support USB 3.2 Gen 2 and two USB-Type-C connectors. Aside from the price and nitpicks, the ROG Strix B550-E’s performance and feature set earn it the title of one of the best B550 motherboards on the market.
